Hi, I’m YoNoSabo, founder of Mexican American Ancestral Roots (MAAR). We are creating a community platform for people who want to reconnect with heritage while building practical knowledge for life across the border.
For many of us, reconnecting with Mexico is more than learning Spanish or visiting family. It is understanding our stories, honoring culture, learning through food and family traditions, exploring dual citizenship, and preparing to build a meaningful life on both sides of the border.
MAAR does not tell people who they are. We offer a space to explore belonging, culture, family history, and possibility on your own terms.
What MAAR will do

MAAR will create bilingual education, cultural storytelling, practical guides, and trusted referrals for people navigating life between the United States and Mexico.
Citizenship readiness
Find general dual-citship education, document-preparation checklists, and referrals to qualified professionals.

Learn how to research mobile service, banking, credit, local services, and common administrative steps before making decisions.
Housing readiness
Access rental-search preparation, questions to ask, and practical property due-diligence education.
Binational opportunity
Explore entrepreneurship, business research, and lawful paths to pursue opportunity across the United States and Mexico.
Community conversation
Join virtual conversations and listening sessions built around shared experiences, questions, and community knowledge.

MAAR is an educational and community-navigation platform. We provide general information, checklists, and referrals—not legal, tax, financial, real-estate, immigration, or investment advice.
For decisions involving citizenship, banking, housing, business formation, taxes, or immigration, we encourage participants to work directly with official institutions and qualified professionals.
Important: This is a launch-support campaign. Contributions are not currently represented as tax-deductible. Reaching the $5,000 goal will help us take the next steps toward building MAAR as a formal nonprofit organization.
